In the Assets (Civil) application, the Locations (Civil) application, and the Work Order
Tracking (Civil) application, you can add image attachments to assets, locations, work orders, and
defects. You can also set one image as the default image.
Before you begin
Before you can add attachments, an administrator must configure the attached document
features.
About this task
By adding image attachments and selecting one image as the default image, you can easily
recognize the relevant object in the image preview. You can also add files, web pages and
attachments from the library to an object.
Procedure
- Open the relevant application and select the relevant object:
- In the Assets (Civil) application, select the relevant asset.
- In the Locations (Civil) application, select the relevant location.
- In the Work Order Tracking (Civil) application, select the relevant work order.
- Click the Attachments icon.
- Click Add New Attachments and click Add New
File.
- In the Create a File Attachment dialog, select a destination folder,
upload the image file, enter the name of the attachment, and click
OK.
- Repeat these steps to attach more images to the selected object.
- Optional: Set one image as the default image.
An attachment record
can show only one image as the default image.
- Click the Attachments icon to open the View
Attachments dialog.
- In the View Attachments dialog, in the preferred attachment row,
click the Attachments Properties icon.
- In the Attachments Properties dialog, set the default image to
On and click OK.
