New Operational Map application

The new Operational Map application is available in the Role Based Applications module. In the Operational Map application, you use the map to view assets, work orders, and possession work orders that are related to your assets on a large geographic area on the map. For more information, see Using the Operational map application.

As an administrator, you grant group-specific access to the Operational map application by using the Security Groups application. For more information, see Granting access to the Operational Map application.

As an administrator, you use the Map Manager application to configure the map to use the Operational Map application. For more information, see Configuring the Operational Map application.

As an administrator, you configure geometric data, so inspectors can view the assets, work orders, and possession work orders in the Operational Map application. For more information, see Configuring geometric data for the Operational Map application.

Improvements in the Defects detection application

In the Defect detection application, you can now assign multiple assets and multiple locations to a folder. You can also assign a category for the anomaly.

Improvements in the Defects function and the Inspection application in IBM Maximo Mobile

In the Defects application, when you create a defect, you can now select multiple photos to analyze in IBM Maximo Visual Inspection. When the defect is created, you can view by default the defect details, and then you can tap the Review defect icon to review the results of the analysis. You can also adjust the confidence threshold for anomalies to see how likely it is that the detected anomalies are defects. When you change the status of the defects, you can now add a comment to it.

In the Inspections application, you can upload a photo to an inspection and analyze it in Maximo Visual Inspection.

United States tunnel data

As an administrator or asset manager, you use the Maximo Data LoaderMaximo Data Loader to load sample data and then modify the data. The sample United States tunnel data is located in the /maxloader/data/files/Templates/Tunnel directory.
