Endpoints application

You use the Endpoints application to create and manage endpoints and their handlers. Endpoints and handlers enable the routing of outbound messages to an external application. Endpoints are used for outbound message processing only, with the exception of interface tables, where the endpoint defines the location of the interfaces for both inbound and outbound processing.

You can use endpoints to perform the following tasks:

• Identify a target location for integration framework or deployment manager data publication
• Use an encrypted value to apply additional security for data storage and display
• Work with a handler to identify how outbound data is routed to a target location
• Work with a handler to define the data format that is used for data transfers
