Getting started
Get started with IBM® Maximo® Visual Inspection to create and train AI-based models to inspect your assets and products and identify the defects that can cause production and quality issues.
Before you begin
The two types of user roles in Maximo Visual Inspection are administrators and premium application users. For more information, see Users and roles. To get started, ensure that you complete the steps for your role type.
Administrators
If you are an administrator, complete the following steps:
- Deploy, activate, and update Maximo Visual Inspection. For more information, see Deploying Maximo Visual Inspection.
- Grant users access. For more information, see Administer users and user access.
- Complete the required planning. For more information, see Planning for Maximo Visual Inspection.
Premium application users
If you are a premium application user, complete the following steps:
- Ensure that your administrator completes the integration and grants you premium application user access.
- Ensure that you are using a supported web browser, which includes either Google Chrome Version 60 or later or Firefox Quantum 59.0 or later.
- Be familiar with the types of image and video files that are supported in Maximo Visual Inspection. For more information, see Planning for Maximo Visual Inspection.
