SAP connector components

The following software components work together to transfer data between Maximo® Manage and SAP systems: Maximo enterprise SAP connector objects in Maximo Manage, Java™ programs, external exits, customized SAP Applications, ABAP programs and BAPIs, and SAP NetWeaver Process Integration 7.4 or SAP NetWeaver Process Orchestration 7.5 or SAP BTP CPI

The Maximo Connector for SAP Applications tracks the events that cause data to be transferred between systems and the locations of data in each system. The connector also manages the internal functions of Maximo Manage to ensure that transfers occur smoothly and consistently. The connector contains the business rules that move data between Maximo Manage and SAP. It also contains sophisticated error-trapping logic to ensure that no data is lost as it moves through the interface.
