Configuring line chart widget

You can add a line chart widget to observe parameter trends on the performance and status of an asset.

About this task

A dual-axis line chart enables the visualization of trends in device and plant parameters. An asset performance analyst can compare the parameters at various timelines to investigate under-performance and asset health.

Procedure

  1. Click the gear icon on the widget.
A form for configuring the widget is displayed in the Chart section.
  2. In the Appearance subsection, specify the title and axes.
    1. Optional: Select the Include zero checkbox to display zero on both y axes.
    2. Optional: Select the Ignore negative values checkbox to exclude values that are less than zero.
    3. Optional: Select the Align zeros on Y axis checkbox to align zeros of both Y1 and Y2 axes.
  3. From the Minimum Interval list, select the display interval over which the data is visualized.
The available minimum interval options depend on the selected time period.
  4. In the Data subsection, select the Device Selection checkbox to include device level parameters and from the Project list, select the project.
  5. Click Add Parameters.
The Table data dialog is displayed.
  6. In the Table data dialog, add parameters.

    2. If the Device Selection is checked, then from the Category list, select the category and from the Device list, select the device.
    3. From the Parameter list, select the parameter. The list contains calculated parameters, which are stored in the data-warehouse. For more information on computation of the parameters for solar assets, see Key performance indicators.
    4. From the Series list, select the type of visual to use to represent the selected data.
    5. In the Function column, select an aggregation function.
    6. To display the parameter value, in the Show Value column, select the checkbox.
