Alarm statistics

The Alarm statistics widget provides a comprehensive view of alarms across a wind farm, offering detailed breakdowns by turbine and component. You can filter and interact with the data to analyze alarm duration, energy impact, and frequency. This widget helps you identify patterns and prioritize maintenance actions effectively.

Main components

One of the main components of the widget is View By toggle, which allows you to switch between viewing alarm statistics by turbines or by components. This toggle provides flexibility in analyzing alarms from different perspectives. Next to the toggle is the Filter dropdown, which enables you to refine the data based on duration, energy, or frequency. This filtering capability helps ensure that you can focus on the most relevant metrics for your analysis. On the upper right of the widget, the Date Range selector displays the selected time period. You can click the calendar icon to open the date selection window and choose a custom range for the analysis. Next to the date selector, the widget includes several graph interaction icons that provide more functions. The calendar icon opens the date selection window, allowing you to choose a custom range for analysis. The full-screen icon expands the graph to cover the entire screen for better visualization. The information icon displays additional details about the widget when you hover over it, showing the information message. The three-dot icon offers download options, enabling you to export the graph as a PNG or PDF and download logs data in Excel format.

Turbine view

The turbine view displays a treemap of alarms that are categorized by turbines, providing a clear visual representation of each turbine’s contribution to overall alarm statistics. Each section of the treemap corresponds to a turbine, and the size of the section reflects its relative share of alarms. When you hover over a specific section, a tooltip appears showing detailed information for that turbine, including the date range, the turbine ID, and the total duration of alarms. You can filter the data by duration, energy, or frequency by using the dropdown menu positioned at the top of the widget. For deeper analysis, clicking any section of the treemap navigates to a detailed bar chart that lists error codes and descriptions for the selected turbine. To ensure readability, the minimum box size in the treemap accommodates at least seven characters, and by default, it displays the last seven characters of the turbine name.

Turbine view: Alarm code and description

The error types view displays a horizontal bar graph that shows different error codes and their duration for a selected turbine. The X-axis represents the duration in hours, while the Y-axis lists error codes along with their descriptions. Each bar corresponds to an error type and its length indicates the total duration of that error. When you hover over a specific bar, a tooltip appears with detailed information, including the error code and description and the duration. You can filter the data by duration, energy, or frequency using the dropdown menu at the top of the widget. For deeper analysis, clicking on any bar navigates to a detailed error log that includes the start time, end time, duration, and energy loss in kWh for each occurrence of the error.

Component view

The component view displays a horizontal bar graph that shows different error types and their duration for each component. The X-axis represents the duration in hours, while the Y-axis lists the components. Each bar corresponds to an error type associated with a component, and its length indicates the total duration of that error. When you hover over a specific bar, a tooltip appears with detailed information, including the component name (for example, “Hydraulic System”) and the duration. You can filter the data by duration, energy, or frequency using the dropdown menu at the top of the widget. For deeper analysis, clicking on any bar navigates to a detailed treemap that shows the turbine-wise contribution for the selected component.

Component view: Treemap

The component treemap provides a visual representation of alarms categorized by components, showing each component’s contribution to overall alarm statistics. Each section of the treemap corresponds to a component, and its size reflects the relative share of alarms. When you hover over a specific section, a tooltip appears with detailed information, including the date range, the component name, and the total duration of alarms. You can filter the data by duration, energy, or frequency using the dropdown menu at the top of the widget. This interactive view helps you quickly identify which components are most affected by alarms and prioritize maintenance actions .

Error logs

Turbine view

When you drill down into a specific turbine, the Alarm Statistics widget displays all error instances that are recorded for that turbine within the selected date range. At the top of the view, a breadcrumb shows the navigation path in the format: Turbine Name → Alarm code and description, helping you maintain context. The View By pill remains set to Turbines, and the filter dropdown is disabled because the view is already focused on a specific error type. The table lists multiple occurrences of the selected alarm for the chosen turbine and includes columns for start time, end time, duration, and energy loss in kilowatt-hours (kWh). The start time and end time are displayed, and the duration is shown as the time difference between start and end. The error description is not displayed since you have already drilled down into a specific error type, such as 36 – Yaw Sensor Error. The table supports vertical scrolling for longer lists of alarms, and the filter dropdown remains disabled to maintain the context of the detailed view

Component view

When you select a component, and drill down into a specific turbine with the highest contribution, the Alarm statistics widget displays all related alarms for that turbine and component within the selected date range. A breadcrumb at the top shows the navigation path, helping you maintain context. The View By pill remains set to Component, and the filter dropdown is disabled because the view is already scoped to a specific component. The table lists multiple alarm occurrences for the selected turbine and includes columns for start time, end time, duration, error description, and energy loss in kilowatt-hours (kWh). The error description is included in this view because multiple error types may appear under the same component. This detailed table helps you understand the spread of error types and their contribution to energy loss. The table supports vertical scrolling for long alarm lists, and no additional filter is required since the component scope is already applied.
