The tool centralizes all onboarding activities into a single workspace. You can onboard your plants currently with support for FTP communication protocols. The tool guides you through device hierarchy mapping, parameter definitions, and telemetry validation to can ensure accurate data ingestion and operational monitoring. After deployment, your plant configuration activates dashboards, alerting workflows, and reporting capabilities. For more information, see Plant onboarding.
- Enhanced turbine prognosis
- Note: This enhancement applies to wind assets.Compare up to four turbines simultaneously to identify performance deviations and operational patterns. Apply filters to investigate anomalies at specific wind speeds, view bin-wise average trendlines to detect deviations, and access enhanced visualizations. Automatic data quality cleaning removes absurd values and outliers by using IQR method, which can ensure reliable comparative analysis. The improved turbine prognosis feature reduces manual effort in exporting, comparing turbine data, and improves diagnostic accuracy through pattern deviation detection. For more information, see Turbine Prognosis and Analyzing multiple turbines.
- BESS Analytics portfolio dashboard
- Note: This enhancement applies to BESS assets. As a BESS operations manager, you can monitor portfolio performance across multiple sites through a comprehensive analytics dashboard. The dashboard displays KPI cards for energy metrics, round-trip efficiency, state of health, availability, capacity, and cycle counts. Analyze loss distribution through interactive pie charts and detailed tables, which display charging, discharging, idle, and auxiliary losses. Compare site-level performance metrics like energy, efficiency, and availability across your portfolio. Use date range filters and site selection to focus your analysis, and export data for reporting and further investigation. For more information, see Plant performance drill-down dashboard.
- Plant performance drill-down dashboard for BESS assets
- Note: This enhancement applies to BESS assets. As a BESS operations manager, you can drill down from the portfolio overview into detailed plant-level analysis through an interactive dashboard. The analytics dashboard provides performance metrics, comparative bar charts, trend analysis visualizations, and interactive heatmaps. Click any visualization element to filter related data across all charts and tables to identify performance patterns, troubleshoot issues, and analyze root causes. Export data from charts and tables in multiple formats for further analysis and reporting. For more information, see Plant performance drill-down dashboard.
- Cycle performance analysis for BESS assets
- Note: This enhancement applies to BESS assetsAs a BESS operations engineer, you can analyze battery cycling behavior through voltage-SOC curves, current patterns, temperature trends, and efficiency drivers in the new Cycle Performance Characteristic tab. The tab provides cycle-level insights that complement loss bucketing analysis, enables one to identify optimal operating conditions, support predictive maintenance, and improve battery lifespan through data-driven decisions. For more information, see Cycle performance characteristic
- Enhanced Maximo Manage integration
- The integration between Maximo Renewables and Maximo Manage now includes options for work order or service request creation, for more information see Creating an account. Work order and service request creation now open the Maximo Manage interface, respecting client-specific field configurations. The system also auto-populates work order details, which reduces manual data entry and errors, for more information see Work order auto-population. This enhancement benefits operators, dispatchers, reliability engineers, maintenance planners, and all users who create work orders, help ensure data consistency across systems and providing a consistent experience with client-configured fields.
- Dashboard and status improvements
- Note: This improvement applies to solar and wind assets.Dashboard displays and status computation now provide more accurate monitoring and consistent visualization across solar and wind installations. Plant and inverter status computation provides more accurate and reliable status information. Gauge displays for solar and wind installations now use standardized fixed ranges across all dashboards, maintaining uniform scales regardless of current values and eliminating confusion from dynamic ranges. These enhancements benefit operators and dispatchers who monitor plant performance and need accurate status information for troubleshooting and maintenance planning. For more information see, Gauge-solar and Gauge-wind.
- Download string classification report
- Note: This enhancement applies to solar assets.Analysts can now download consolidated string classification information from the string analytics module. For more information see, Analyzing string-level performance
March 2026
- Enhanced Maximo Manage integration
- As an administrator, you can now select organizations and sites directly from the Maximo Manage database. The system validates site status to avoid downstream errors in work order creation, streamlining your asset management workflow. For more information, see Integrating with Maximo Manage.
- Hyperlink in text widget
- As an analyst, you can add a hyperlink in the text widget to provide quick access for external resources directly from your dashboards. You can link to documentation, reports, or other tools from the monitoring dashboard. For more information, see Text widget.
- Zero alignment for dual-axis charts
- As a performance analyst, you can align the zeros of both primary and secondary Y axes in dual-axis line charts. This alignment improves visual correlation between metrics and identifies relationships between different data series. For more information, see Configuring line chart widget.
December 2025
- Integration with Maximo Manage
- As an existing Maximo Application Suite user, you can monitor and analyze your renewables asset on Maximo Renewables. For more information, see Integrating with Maximo Manage.
- OneView dashboard for wind assets
- The OneView dashboard is now available for wind assets. You can monitor the performance of the entire plant or of a single wind turbine. At the plant level, you can monitor energy outputs, analyze generation losses, and track alarms. At the turbine level, you can analyze performance trends, alarm history, and component-level temperature and alarm statistics. For more information, see OneView dashboard
- New widgets for wind assets
- You can use the Farm performance and Turbine overview widgets to track overall plant performance. To track turbine-specific parameters, use Turbine ranking, Turbine Timeline, Wind Rose, and Temperature heat map widgets. To monitor performance at both plant and turbine levels, you can use Alarm Statistics and Power curve deviation loss widgets.
- Enhancement of inverter heatmap widget
- Note: This enhancement applies to solar assets. The inverter heatmap widget now supports historical data access beyond the previous two-hour limit. You can view extended time ranges with filters, enabling trend identification and deeper performance analysis.
October 2025
- Client Communication Center (CCC)
- The CCC portal is the primary communication channel for all updates that are related to the IBM Maximo Renewables. For more information, see Client Communications Center (CCC).
- Energy loss bucket for inverter late start
- Note: This update applies to solar assets. The new inverters late start loss bucketing enables an analyst to differentiate losses due inverter late start from losses due to component downtime. For more information, see Energy loss analysis.
- Enhanced widgets for wind assets
- As a performance analyst you have widgets to monitor wind assets. For more information, see Configuring KPI insight widgets and Gauge-wind.
- Automatic cycle detection for lithium-ion battery
- Note: This enhancement applies to BESS assets. The automatic cycle detection feature is extended to support Li-ion batteries, which follow the cycle structure of charge → discharge. This update enables daily cycle statistics for Li-ion chemistry for accurate reporting.
- Automatic units scaling for MapView dashboard and ESG metrics widget
- To help ensure consistency and improve readability, auto unit scaling is implemented in the MapView dashboard and ESG widget. Large values automatically convert to appropriate units (for example, kW → MW, Tons → Kilotons), enhancing clarity, and user experience across dashboards.
- Updated module degradation loss logic
- Note: This updated logic applies to solar assets. The module degradation logic provides more accurate performance modeling. The degradation logic now supports modules with only light-induced degradation (LID), modules with only annual degradation after year one, or modules with both LID and annual degradation.
- Improved search, sort, and filter functions for overview widget
- The overview widget has search functions that fetch all matching assets. The sorting and filtering functions prompt you to load all devices for accuracy, and sorting is on device name instead of device IDs. For more information, see Overview.
