Assessing data quality and availability
The data governance feature helps you monitor the quality and availability of data that is collected from plants, inverters, and weather monitoring systems (WMS). By using charts and legends, you can identify missing, erroneous, or constant data and take corrective actions.
About this task
Follow these steps to analyze and govern the quality and availability of renewable energy data in IBM® Maximo® Renewables.
Procedure
- From the side navigation menu, click the Analytics icon.
- Click Data Governance.
- On the Data Governance page, click Solar or Wind to filter the plants by domain.
- From the Plant list, select a specific plant or choose all plants to monitor.
- Select the period for which you want to govern the data. If you want to use a custom range, specify the start and end dates, then click Search to retrieve data. The pie chart displays an overview of data availability and quality for one or more selected plants. Scroll down to view a stacked bar chart that categorizes data quality. Use the legend to switch between categories such as Not Available, Constant, Zero, and Erroneous.
- To open a detailed chart, click the data availability percentage of a plant. Hover over the chart blocks to see an outline of each parameter, such as active power or irradiance.
- Select the Erroneous option to view erroneous data in a chart. Select the zero/Constant option to identify parameters with stagnant or zero values. Use the legend to hide or show specific data points for clearer analysis.
