Creating and managing custom alerts

You can configure and manage custom alerts in IBM® Maximo® Renewables to monitor specific conditions, validate expressions, and detect constant data anomalies. Custom alerts help operators proactively identify issues and automate responses across clean energy assets

Before you begin

Ensure that you have access to and are logged in to IBM Maximo Renewables . Confirm that you have access to the Alarms and Events section

Procedure

  1. Log in to IBM Maximo Renewables and choose the Alarms and Events tab.
  2. Click Custom Alerts and click the Create new alert icon.
  3. In the Project and Device section, specify the Condition Name , message and select the Feature, Project and Target Device Category
  4. Select the Target Device and proceed to the Alert builder icon to create your customised alert.
    1. Choose the Category , Device, Constant Values and Parameters according to the alert you are trying to create.
    2. Review the expression in the Preview Expression tab and click OK to apply the changes.
  5. Proceed to the Alert Settings section, complete the Alert Windows and select Alert Severity
  6. Click the Set Alert frequency tab to select either real time, hourly or daily alert frequency and set the alert condition type to either consecutive or discreet.
  7. Proceed to the recipient section and click the add recipient plus icon and select the user you want the alert to be sent to.
  8. Click Apply and select Submit
