Integrate with new services
The Services page is now called the Integrations page. On the Integrations page, you can now integrate with the following services:
- Integrate with IBM® Maximo Real Estate and Facilities to unify your location hierarchies and enable advanced IoT device monitoring and analytics. For more information, see Integrating with TRIRIGA Application Suite.
- Integrate with Cisco Webex to monitor space utilization in buildings. For more information, see Integrating with Cisco Webex.
- Integrate with Cisco Spaces to understand movement and usage patterns across spaces to uncover utilization insights. For more information, see Integrating with Cisco Spaces.
Use a redesigned user interface for adding and managing devices
The user interface for adding and managing devices in Maximo Monitor is redesigned. You can complete additional device configuration, use the device library, and associate devices with Maximo Monitor gateways. For more information, see Adding devices.
Use the device library
Edge Data Collector is now integrated with Maximo Monitor as the device library.
Instead of adding devices in Edge Data Collector, you can use a single process in Maximo Monitor to add either custom devices or use the device library.
In the library, you can access manufacturer-specific devices that contain default metrics and dimensions. You choose the device that you want to create, select the metrics for it to use, and then use the device authentication details to complete the connection. For more information, see Adding devices.
For a complete list of library devices, see the device library search.
Create gateways in Maximo Monitor
You can now create gateways in Maximo Monitor instead of in the IoT tool. For more information, see Creating gateways.
Assign devices to a location or asset in a hierarchy
You can now directly assign devices to a location or asset in a hierarchy. On the Setup page, on the Hierarchies tab, for an asset or location, click the three-dot menu and then click Assign devices. Select the devices to assign and then click Save.
