Edge Data Collector

Test out a new way to add devices. Edge Data Collector contains a library of device details and metrics. In Edge Data Collector, you can select your device's manufacturer, select a device, and then choose the metrics that you want to track for the device.

Before you use Edge Data Collector, you must configure Edge Data Collector and its connection to Maximo Application Suite. For more information, see Edge Data Collector.

Support for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.11 and 4.12

Maximo Monitor 8.11 supports Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform 4.11 and 4.12. Support for 4.11 and 4.12 is also available in maintenance releases for Maximo Monitor 8.10 and 8.9.

Configure the backtrack batch size

You can configure the backtrack batch size for metric pipelines. When a backtrack setting is defined, the data that is in the backtrack windows is split into batches. The default batch size is five days. Increasing the batch size can increase performance but also increases memory consumption. For more information, see Timing of calculations.

Eclipse Amlen

You can use Eclipse Amlen operator to manage the MQTT broker, support enhanced security, and access to more MQTT broker features.

End of maintenance for some device types

Device types that were created manually in the IoT tool, from a sample device type, or in Maximo Monitor versions earlier than 8.8 are no longer eligible for enhancements. You can still create these devices types in the IoT tool or by creating a sample device type, and you can still use your existing device types.

These device types do not support streaming data metrics and are indicated as v1 device types in the API documentation.
