A new Maximo cron task is provided to get HCM Worker data from Workday. A cron task is an existing Maximo® Manage component that facilitates processes that run in the background, supports flexible scheduling features, and uses parameters that administrators can configure based on their business requirements. Customers can set a preferred frequency for the cron task. For example, it might be hourly, daily, or weekly.

The Maximo cron task initiates an App Connect Flow service that uses the parameters that are provided by the administrator and then calls the Workday APIs for HCM Worker by using the Workday Connector. When the Workday HCM data is retrieved from Workday, the Connector Flow calls three Maximo enterprise services to load the Maximo skill, craft code, person, and labor records.

Workday HCM data can be filtered based on the configurable parameters, organization, and job family. The configurable parameters are set in the cron task by the administrator.
