New applications
- Work Orders application
- The Work Orders application contains a modernized, simplified view of the most important work order actions and information. You can also organize your work orders into custom views, track the status of each work order in the status bar, and enhance your productivity with type-ahead search. For more information, see the Work Orders documentation or this overview video.
- Workflow Assignments application
- You can use the Workflow Assignments application to monitor KPIs, such as the number of overdue assignments, and organize your assignments into custom views. You can also take advantage of productivity enhancements, such as type-ahead search and the ability to accept, reject, or reassign multiple assignments at once. For more information, see Workflow Assignments.
- Manage Monitoring Information application
- The Manage Monitoring Information application replaces the Maximo Management Interface tool that was available in previous versions. This application, which is in the System Configuration module, provides information about your system's database, MBO counts, memory, JVMs, threads, and operating system. It also includes details about queues, object structures, the user who is logged in, classes, crontasks, and appservices. For more information, see Manage Monitoring Information.
New dashboards
- Scheduling dashboard
- On the Scheduling dashboard, you can see all your schedules at a glance and conveniently view all upcoming work. KPIs show important information, including scheduling problems and resource utilization. You can update work records, view resource allocation, fix scheduling problems, and run optimization from one convenient location. You can publish your changes when your adjustments are complete. For more information, see the Scheduling dashboard documentation. For information on setting up your Scheduling dashboard, see Adding schedules to the Scheduling dashboard or this video.
- Operational dashboard
- The Operational dashboard is a modernized landing page that is similar to the Start Center. You can use the Operational dashboard to see your workflow assignments that are due soon. For more information, see Operational dashboard.
IBM Maximo Optimizer
- Execution services CPU and memory usage
- API services CPU and memory usage
- Job creation rate by model
- In progress job count
The Graphical Scheduling optimization model detects and reports infeasible work records and generates a partial schedule, which minimizes unscheduled work. The model extracts critical path information to identify bottlenecks in schedules, including limited resource capacity. For more information, see Optimizing schedules.
Monitoring metrics added
The monitoring agent provides metrics for application usage and performance. More metrics are available in Maximo Manage.
For more information, see Monitoring metrics.
Ability to require electronic signatures based on record status
You can now require electronic signatures based on the status of a record. For example, you can require an electronic signature for a work order only when it is completed. For more information, see Electronic signatures, audit records, and login tracking.
Technical updates
- Swagger interface for API integrations
To access the Swagger interface, enter the URL for the interface into a browser or an API client, such as Postman, as shown in the following example:
For more information, see Integration APIs.https://<host>:<port>/toolsapi/oas3/api.html
- Stored procedures for text searches in Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Because Microsoft deprecated the

This programming update does not affect the user experience, and full text search continues to function as it did in previous releases. For more information, see Searching. - KafkaErrorsCleanup cron task removed
- The KafkaErrorsCleanup cron task is no longer used for reprocessing expired messages that have errors.
- New integrations
- There are two new integrations, ENVIZI and IBM TRIRIGA® Application Platform integration. You can now view documentation for these Maximo Manage components. For more information, see Maximo Manage components.
User assistance improvements
- Onboarding assistance
- Onboarding assistance is available to help you find your way around the Maximo Manage Start Center. You can also watch an overview video for Manage. Click Take a tour to get started.
- Documentation improvements
- To optimize and improve content retrievability, the documentation is now organized and streamlined to identify information by product and version. For more information, see Documentation conventions.
