Estimate request statuses

An Estimate request is controlled by its status. The status is updated after certain actions or when you update it manually.

The status of an estimate request automatically changes when you complete one of the following tasks:
  • Estimate the cost of compatible units (CU)
  • Send a quotation of the estimate to a customer
  • Accept the estimated work to a target work order
The following table describes the estimate request statuses:
Status Description
As-Built The status of an open, quoted, or accepted estimate request is changed to As-Built when you accept any As-Built versions.
Accepted The status of an open or quoted estimate request is changed to Accepted when you accept any of its design versions.
Canceled You can cancel an open estimate request. Canceling indicates that the request cannot be used.
Closed An estimate request is automatically closed when its associated target work order is closed. You can also close an estimate request if the estimate-request-type is Cost Only, Template, or Project.
Quoted The status of an open estimate request is changed to Quoted when you send a quotation of the estimate version to a customer.
Unitized The status of an estimate request is changed to Unitized after you do unitization by using an external project accounting system.
