Defining custom Advanced Shipment Notification (ASN) files

You can define a new enterprise service interface type and then use the Receiving (T&D) application to import meter records that have custom object structures by using the integration framework.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have advanced shipment notification data that contains meter record information that is defined as an object structure in IBM® Maximo® Asset Management.

Procedure

  1. In the External Systems application, choose PLUSDTND and select the Enterprise Services tab.
  2. Define a new enterprise service interface. The object structure that is defined for the interface must be associated with the ASSET object. You can provide an entire Asset hierarchy within the same source input, for example, an XML document.
