Manage Inspection Forms tool
In the Manage Inspection Forms tool, you create inspection forms by adding questions and defining responses. The inspection forms that you create are then available to inspectors in the Conduct an Inspection tool.
Before you can access the Manage Inspection Forms tool, an administrator must add you to the security group template for the tool. Security group templates are provided to enable access to work centers and tools and tasks.
When you create an inspection form, the form is added to the form library in draft status. You can add optional or required questions and define the type of answers, such as text, numbers, meters, attachments, or selectable options that you can choose as a valid answer. You can also provide extra instructions for the inspector, and you can group questions together. You can also specify a type for the form, such as a condition assessment or inspection.
You can add conditions to the response fields of existing questions on inspection forms to gather more information. You can determine which additional response fields appear to inspectors, depending on the answers they gave to inspection form questions. For example, a question might ask, "Is corrosion present?" If the response is yes, another question might ask, "What percentage of the area has corrosion?"
When you complete the draft form, you can change the form to active status. Activated forms are then available to use for inspections. You can also revise forms to change existing information. While the form is pending revision, the current active version is still available for use by the inspector.
When you complete an inspection form, you can view the asset, location, work order, and inspection details that are associated with the work.
When inspections are completed, you can review the results. To view the results of a completed inspection, in the Go To menu, select Conduct Inspections and then select the Completed tab.
Because inspection forms can become complex with many form questions and conditions, the Manage Inspections Forms tool is best viewed on a full-sized screen.
