Specifying your default workflow

The workflow that is associated with your Change environment is the one that starts when you create a Change and start the workflow. This product ships with the PMCHGFIXD1 express workflow associated with Changes. If you want to associate another built-in workflow, or a workflow that you have created, you can do so by specifying a different workflow name for the pmchg.process.workflow system property.

About this task

To specify a workflow to be associated with Changes in your environment, perform the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Click Open menu > System Configuration > Platform Configuration > System Properties to open the System Properties application.
  2. Click Filter, type pmchg in the Property Name field, and press the Enter key to display a list of system properties that are defined for Change Management.
  3. Click the pmchg.process.workflow property to display information about the property.
  4. In the Global Value field, specify the name of the workflow that you want to run when you process your Changes. For example, specify PMCHGMAIN1 if you want to use the advanced Change workflow; specify PMCGHFLEXD1 if you want to use the user-controlled express workflow.
  5. Click Save icon to save your modification.
  6. Check the pmchg.process.workflow property name, and click Refresh icon to refresh the system properties and apply the modification.
