Using miscellaneous tools and icons

You can use miscellaneous map tools and icons to scroll up, down, right, or left in a map; see a street view of any location on the map; zoom in or out; and toggle between a map view and a satellite view.

About this task

To use the miscellaneous map tools and icons, ensure that your browser is set to the language you want to use if that language is different from the browser’s default language.

Use the miscellaneous tools and icons as follows:
  • Click one of the arrows around the edge of the panning tool to scroll in that direction through the map. You can also scroll by dragging the hand icon.
  • Drag the street view tool to a location on the map. A visual image of the street view that corresponds to the location is displayed. To return to the previous view, click x in the street view.
  • Use the vertical zoom tool to zoom in (+) or out (-) of the view.
  • Specify that you want to see a satellite view of the map; you can return to the regular map view.
