Entering a service address

If you want to view a map of your service address, you must enter the address in the correct format.

About this task

Several applications support the use of a map service to display a map showing the service address that is specified for an asset, ticket, or other resource. In order for the map to show the correct location, you must enter the address using the format that is used by the map service.

1. Open your map service directly in a browser window.
2. Use the search function to locate an address, for example, the address where you work.
3. Note the format of the address. Use this format when you enter a service address for any asset, location, change, ticket, or other resource. This enables the map service to show a map of the service address.
