Relating solutions to a solution

You can relate Solutions to another Solution, using the Related Solutions tab in the Solutions Application.

About this task

When you relate solutions using the Related Solutions tab, you create a relationship type of RELATED. You want to relate solutions to another solution if you need to browse similar solutions to see if they will solve your issue. You can only relate solutions to another solution if it is in the ACTIVE state.

Procedure

  1. From the Solutions Application, open an active solution.
  2. Click on the Related Solutions tab.
  3. Click on the Select Solutions button.
  4. Select the solutions you want to relate.
  5. Click OK.

Results

After you select the solutions you want to relate, those selected solutions are listed in the Related Solutions table in the Related Solutions tab.
