Viewing assets

In Self Serve, you can view assets assigned or associated with you and raise a service request for a specific asset.

About this task

My Assets provides a tabular view of available assets as fetched from the Assets application in Maximo IT. Each asset information will be shown as Asset, Serial number, Description, location, and status. User can view the details of an asset by clicking on the asset number and raise a request for that asset by opening a service request. The service request will be fed into the system as a ticket.

Users can also use the search functionality in the table to search for a particular asset. The table view can also be personalized by using the Filter action and filtering the table for specific columns and information.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Self Serve.
  2. Go to My Assets and click on View Assets.
  3. Select an asset in your preferred state (Active, Operating, Limited use, Not Ready) that suits your requirements. You can use the Search option or Filter option to find relevant assets.
  4. Click on the Asset and check all the Asset details.
  5. If you want to raise a request for that asset, click on Open a Service Request.
  6. You will be redirected to the Report an issue page. Follow the steps as given on Reporting issues to submit your service request.
  7. After the request is submitted, you can click on Show details to view your ticket details.Asset View
