Configuring security for Service Catalog applications

Service Catalog provides a method for granting access to catalogs or revoking access to offerings for Security Groups.

By default, users are granted access to all Offerings and Catalogs in the applications for which they have access. A Maximo IT administrator can restrict access to specific offerings and catalogs using Data Restrictions. The Security Groups application contains a Service Catalog tab for granting or revoking access to catalogs and offerings. The Service Catalog tab is used with the required Data Restrictions for granting access to specific catalogs and revoking access to specific offerings. When access is granted to a catalog, access is implicitly granted to all offerings in that catalog. Revoking access to an offering takes precedence over implicitly granting access to an offering via catalog access granting.
