Associating a script with an attribute

Once you create a script in the Automation Scripts application, you can associate it with an attribute on the Specifications tab of the Offerings application.

1. Go to Service Request Catalog > Offerings.
2. Place the cursor in the Offering field, and type the name of the offering that contains the attribute with which you want to associate a script.
3. Click the Specifications tab.
4. In the Presentation section on the Specifications tab, click the Select Value icon next to the Validation Script field for the attribute.
   The Select Value dialog is displayed, showing a list of available scripts.
5. Click the script you want to associate with the attribute.
   The name of the validation script is displayed in the validation script field.
6. Click Save.
7. Optional: Logging for the Service Catalog attribute validation script is written to the maximo.service.shopping logger. To turn on logging for the validation script, set the level on this logger to DEBUG. Remember to perform the Apply Settings action in the Logging application.
