Implementing a task
The Release Specialist is the user who claims and performs tasks during a release. When a task is approved and given the INPROG status, it is displayed in the Start Center of the task owner, and can be clicked and claimed for completion. This topic describes the process of completing a task.
About this task
Note: The My active tasks list is distinct from the In-box assignments list, which also is displayed in the Start Center. The In-box assignments list contains manual tasks that are included in an automated
workflow, such as the workflow tasks that involve setting due dates or performing scheduling. the My active tasks list contains the actual tasks that are assigned to the Release
Specialist (the task owner) as part of the release work plan.
When a release planner moves a release to the INPROG state, the first task in the first activity of the release is also moved to the INPROG state and is displayed in the Start Center of the task owner.
