Solutions

Self Serve users can browse through and search for existing Solutions in the Self Serve app.

Solutions are defined and saved using the Solutions application in Maximo IT. These solutions are searchable with the help of the search functionality in Self Serve app.

To search for a solution, users must select Solutions in the drop down next to the Search bar. Then, user can start typing the issue and a list of relevant solutions will be displayed. User can then browse through the available list of solutions.

Users can refer to the respective ratings given to the solutions to determine what works best for them. The ratings system follows a Star rule with 5 stars and the user can rate a solution based on how effective a particular solution proved for them.

Users can follow the steps below to rate a solution from the Self Serve application:

Go to the Self Serve application. (Open Menu > Self-Service > Self Serve)
Select Solutions in the Search drop-down and hit Enter.
From the resultant list of solutions, click on a solution to add rating.
Select the appropriate number of stars for the solution.
Write a review in the box and Submit.

Subsequent users can utilize these ratings to see how well the solutions have performed for other users and make a decision.
