Selecting CIs

Use the Select CIs dialog to select one or more configuration items (CIs) that you want to associate with a blackout period. The panel displays a list of all of the CIs that are registered to the database. CI descriptions are provided, along with any associated asset, site, and status information. In addition, a number of fields are provided for restricting the list to CIs that match criteria that you specify.

About this task

To select CIs to associate with a blackout period:

1. Specify values for any of the search fields that you want to use to restrict the list of CIs. For example, specify a particular status value in the STATUS field to display only those CIs that currently have the specified status. Click Refine to display a list that matches your criteria.
2. Select one or more CIs from the list, or check Configuration Item Number to select all of the CIs in the list.
3. Click OK to specify that the selected CIs that will be associated with the blackout period that you are working with.
