Service Catalog flow
Maximo IT Service Catalog is composed of three major parts.
They are:
- Defining and publishing – using application tooling designers need to create offerings and catalogs
- Ordering- Shopping and requesting offerings via the shopping experience
- Fulfillment of service requests - fulfillment and monitoring aspects of providing a service
The following figure the shows basic objects (shopping cart, catalog requests and service requests) that the Service Catalog module uses when an offering is ordered, managed, and fulfilled.
Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL®) can be used with Service Catalog to define roles for service ordering, management, and fulfillment.
In the Service Catalog content, security groups are created for each of the Service Catalog roles.
