Service Catalog applications
The Service Catalog component includes several applications that help you provide IT and other offerings to internal or external customers, and manage the fulfillment of orders. In addition, these applications are used by your internal customers to place and view orders.
Service Catalog application | Description |

Catalogs | The Catalogs application allows you to present offerings to an end user in an easily accessible and searchable manner. Service Designers can create a catalog, and then add the offerings to it. Alternatively, offerings can be added to a catalog as an action on the Offerings application. |
Cart Templates | The Cart Templates application allows you to view the list of offerings in a cart template, manage cart templates, create a copy of a cart template for another user, add cart templates to the shopping cart, and delete cart templates. |
Global Search application | Use the Global Search application to search across applications for records that contain specified text. You can search for records in one or more of the following applications at the same time: Service Requests, Incidents, Problems, and Solutions. |
Offerings | The Offerings application allows you to create, save, modify, or duplicate an offering. The Offerings application allows you to manage the lifecycle of an offering, its associated data, and the list of catalogs that contain the offering. |
Offering Catalog | In the Offering Catalog application, you can shop for offerings and services. |
Self Service Center | Self service users use the Self Service Center application to submit service requests, view solutions, order offerings, view news and access their recent service requests. |
Service Requests | Service Requests are used to resolve an issue, obtain a new service, obtain information, or change a current service. Service requests can be created via the Service Catalog or Service Desk. |
Shopping Cart | In the Shopping Cart application, you can view, edit and submit your cart, or you can create a Cart Template from a list of items in your cart. Cart templates can be used to group a set of commonly requested offerings into a single cart which can be reused and shared. |
Ticket Templates | Ticket Templates allow you to create and manage ticket templates that can be applied to common and high-volume ticket records saving time by letting the system populate values from the template into fields on the ticket. |
View Catalog Requests | You use the View Catalog Requests application to search for, view, and change the status of your existing catalog requests. |
