Setting up a launch entry for an action offering

You can set up an entry for an action offering that launches an external URL in the Offering Catalog or Self Service Center.

1. Go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Launch in Context.
2. Create a new launch entry.
3. Click Save.
4. Go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Application Designer.
5. In the Application field on the Applications tab, type PMSCOFFCAT.
6. Click the PMSCOFFCAT link.
   The Workspace tab is displayed.
7. Click the Add/Modify Signature Options action.
   The Add/Modify Signature Options dialog is displayed.
8. Click New Row.
9. Type any name you want in the Option field.
10. Expand the Advanced Signature Options section.
11. Click the Associate to launch entry to enable launch in context radio button.
12. In the Launch Entry Name field, type in the name you used in the Context application.
13. Click OK.
14. Click Save.
15. Go to the Security Groups application.
16. For all user groups that you wish to execute this service, perform the following steps:
    1. In the group field, type the user group for which you want to add access, or press Enter to see the list of user groups, and select the user group for which you want to add access.
    2. Click the Applications tab.
    3. Expand the filter in the Applications section.
    4. Under Description, type in Offering Catalog.
    5. Press Enter.
    6. Search the table for the description of the sigoption you just created.
    7. Select Grant Access?.
    8. Click Save.
17. Go to Offerings application.
18. Do one of the following:
    • Create a new Offering with an Offering Type equal to Action Offering.
    • Modify an existing Offering to an Offering Type equal to Action Offering.
      Note: In this case, ensure the Offering is in the Planning state.
19. Under Action Offering Information, choose an Action Type of Launch in Context.
20. Perform a lookup on the Launch in Context field and select the sigoption you just created.
21. Click Save.
