Working with meters

You can create meters to track asset or location performance. You can also duplicate or delete meters.

Creating meters
You use the Meters application of the Assets module to add or to modify meter definitions, including the names for the meters and the sets of attributes that describe the meters.
Specifying meter readings on work orders
You can enter meter readings for the asset and the location on a work order. An asset can be set up to inherit the meter readings of its parent asset or its location.
Duplicating meters
The quickest way to create a meter is to duplicate an existing one, and then modify it as needed. When you duplicate a meter, all the information from the existing meter is copied to the new meter.
Deleting meters
You use the Meters application of the Assets module to delete meters that you have defined.
