Creating an instant messaging profile

To use integrated instant messaging with the product, you must create an instant messaging profile that defines the instant messaging driver, host name, and other values.

About this task

To create an instant messaging profile, complete the following steps.

Procedure

  1. Select Open menu > System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Instant Messaging Configuration.
  2. Click the New Instant Messaging profile icon.
  3. Provide values for the instant messaging profile. A numeric identifier for the instant messaging profile is created automatically.
  4. Click the Save Instant Messaging profile icon.
