Connecting and disconnecting

You can open or close an instant messaging connection from the Instant Messaging Configuration application.

About this task

To open or close an instant messaging connection, complete the following steps.

1. Select Open menu > System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Instant Messaging Configuration.
2. Connect or disconnect:
   • To open a connection, click the Open Instant Messaging connection icon.
   • To close a connection, click the Close Instant Messaging connection icon.
