Disabling live chats during database administration
From time to time, product administrators must configure and administer the product database to ensure efficient operation of Maximo IT across the enterprise. Before putting the database into administration mode, you must turn off all live chat functionality so that chat data is not lost.
About this task
You turn database administration on and off in the Database Configuration application (Help to open help information for the application, and follow the instructions that are provided for putting the database in administration mode. Before you do so, turn off all live chat functionality by setting chat queue status to unavailable, and wait until all waiting and in-progress chats are cleared from the system.
