Run License Use reports
Use the Licenses application to run one or more reports that compare license entitlement information to deployed asset data obtained through discovery. The comparison data provided in the reports indicate areas for corrective action and help clarify your state of audit-readiness.
After you have added your licenses to the database and imported the latest deployed software data, you can run license use reports. Before running any reports, make sure all the relevant data is available in the appropriate applications. For example, before you can run a Points-based audit report, you need to have the Points fields completed for the relevant software in the Software Catalog application.
- A license’s status must be ‘Active’ in order to run a License Use report.
- License Use reports do not take into account the allocations that were performed; rather, they report upon the entire license capacity.
The list of the license use reports that you can run OOTB are available at the following link: Running a license use report.
