can see the service request in the Start Center).Note: Once the SR is approved, the SR status will be changed as Approved by Line Manager.
- Once the SR is Approved by Line Manager, get the approval from the Operational Analyst (PMSCOAUSR) as you selected for Workflow as Fulfillment Manager Approval.
- Once the SR is approved, the status changes to In Progress, and the description and worklog are updated as per the provision request created.
- Cron task pulls the data from the ManageIQ and updates the SR STATUS as Resolved, also the description and worklog are updated accordingly.
- Once all the above steps are completed successfully, an AWS instance will be created.Note: To log in to the AWS instance, the Amazon EC2 key pair is already passed as guest_access_key_pair in the provisioning automation script. The Admin decides how to send the access key pair (pem file) to the Maximo IT users that the user can automate its workflow by sending the credentials to the user’s email directly upon the successful provision using the automation script.
What to do next
Once an Amazon EC2 instance is provisioned, you can create SR for ManageIQ - AWS Start Virtual Machine and ManageIQ - AWS Stop Virtual Machine to start and stop the Amazon EC2 instance respectively.
