Replacing parent locations

Use the Locations application to replace the parent location in a particular system with a different parent location.

1. From the List tab of the Locations application, display the location record that you want to change.
2. Select the View/Modify Parents action.
3. In the New Parent field, type a value. The parent is validated to ensure the following:
   1. The parent is in the selected system.
   2. The parent does not currently exist as the parent to the current location in the selected system.
   3. The parent does not exist in the child location hierarchy of the selected location.
4. Click OK.
