Administering licenses
Using the Licenses application you can define the entitlements for each of your software products, according to their license agreements.
License administration begins after the software catalog of knowledge base data or the deployed asset data from a discovery tool database is imported into the Maximo® database for Maximo IT.
Begin by setting up your core licence groups and license templates, and performing any value unit conversions necessary. Then, create your licenses and plan your license allocations. Subsequently you can manage your licenses by performing such administering tasks as adding database records for all your current licenses, associating software from the Software Catalog application with these licenses, allocating license capacity, and managing all licenses to a state of audit-readiness. New licenses can be procured and existing license can be transferred, canceled, or deleted.
