Adding domains in Maximo IT

As an administrator, you use the Domains application to add domains or to modify existing ones to fit with your business practices. The Domains application contains a single table window, Domains, that you use to add, view, change, and delete domains. For more details, refer Managing Domains

1. Open the Domains application.
2. At the bottom of the Domains table window, click Add New Domain and select Add New ALN Domain.
3. On the ALN Domain pop-up, fill the fields as follows:
   • Domain: Specify a name for the domain, for example, JIRAEndpoint.
     Note: Make a note of the name of the Domain for reference.
   • Description: Specify the description for the domain, for example, JIRAEndpoint
   • Data Type: Select ALN from the drop-down options.
   • Click New Row for the ALN Domain, and fill the fields as follow:
     • Value: Specify the JIRA endpoint name that you created and noted in Adding JIRA Endpoints in Maximo IT.
     • Description: Specify the JIRA server URL such as http://<YOUR_JIRA_SERVER_IP>:<Port.
     • Click OK.
