Downloading and installing Integration composer
Install Integration composer using Download Tools.
Before you begin
Make sure that you have up to 70 MB of free space for the installation directory. IBM® Java™ SDK 8.0 with JRE 1.8 is required. Confirm that the Java -version command returns 1.8 before starting the installation.
Follow the procedures below to install Integration composer:
Downloading and installing Integration composer
- Go to the ITIC installation Technote and follow the steps to configure access to DB2 and import PEM certificate.
- Log in to Maximo IT as an administrator.
- Go to the Download Tools application. ( ).
- Select your platform and click on the ITIC zip file to start the download.
- Once the file is downloaded, look for ITIC7615-Win.zip and unzip it to extract
setup.exe or setup.bin.Note: In case of Unix, provide execute permission to "setup.bin" file
- Execute the appropriate file (setup.exe or setup.bin) to start the install.
- Select the appropriate language and click OK.

For Linux installations only: Specify whether this is a new install or an upgrade.
In case of Windows, there is direct installation.
- In the Introduction window, click Next.
- On next screen, Enter the path to the IBM SDK 8.0 or click the Choose button to select the folder. After providing the path, click Next.
- In the Choose Install Folder window, either use the provided default path or click on Choose to select any other location and click Next.
- Select the database type that you will be using with IBM Tivoli Integration Composer (IBM DB2/ Oracle/SQL Server). Click Next.
- Go to the TECHNOTE and follow the steps to configure access to DB2, import PEM certificate, and create SSL connection with Integration composer.
- On next screen, provide the database information. In the Database
server name field, use
jdbc string:jdbc:db2://db2-manage-route-db2u.apps.openshiftqa2.icdlab.com:443/BLUDB:sslTrustStoreLocation=C:\\Program Files\\IBM\\<keystore_name>;sslTrustStorePassword=password;
. - On Update Software instances screen, choose the enable or disable software update option. Click Next.
- Review the Preinstallation Summary and after making sure that details are right, click Install.
- After the installation completes, click Done on the Installation complete screen.
What to do next
Go to install_directory/bin and start Integration composer.
