Starting and stopping the timer
You can use a timer to record the time that you spend working on an Incident, a Problem, or a Service Request.
To start the timer, click the Start Timer action in Common Actions. To stop the timer, click the Stop Timer action, accept or change the time data in the Confirm Timer dialog box. Click OK to close the dialog box. You can view the transaction in the Time Tracking table window.
When a service request reaches a status of CLOSED, all unapproved, outstanding labor transactions approved automatically. In addition, your system administrator might configure the system to automatically approve certain labor transactions when you stop the timer.
