Step 1: Configuring the reconciliation

To configure the reconciliation for linking CIs to assets, create a link rule and a reconciliation task.

The Reconciliation module applications are used to evaluate data about information technology devices and networks and view the results of the evaluation. You use these applications to configure a behind-the-scenes process that reconciles objects from one data set (data set 1) with objects in another data set (data set 2). Along with discrepancies and variances, the reconciliation process identifies successful matches between the two sets of data. You can use these applications to reconcile data about assets or data about configuration items.
