Correcting deployment data errors

If a deployment of a package fails because of a data error, you can continue the deployment by correcting the error.

Procedure

  1. On the Packages tab of the Migration Manager application, select a package that has a status of DEPLOY_ERROR.
  2. On the Deployment Data Errors tab, expand the record for the migration group that contains the error.
  3. Review the details of the error message and the corresponding XML error data, and click Edit Error Data.
  4. In the Error Data field of the Edit Error Data window, edit the XML data to correct the error, and click OK.
    As you edit the data, you can refer to the original error data in the Original Error Data field.
  5. In the Packages section, click Continue Deployment.

What to do next

If the deployment fails again, you can repeat the steps to correct the next error.
