Use the Software Catalog application to view all or a subset
of all the software records in the catalog, or locate a particular
software record that you want to work with further.
About this task
When using the Software Catalog application to look for software,
displaying all records in the record list can generate thousands of
software catalog entries. The table filter and the Advanced
Search feature offer many ways to search for and filter
the software catalog entries. You can also use these search features
to reduce the number of entries in the record list to a default 200
entries (unless configured otherwise) or less, which is required before
you can select multiple records to work with. Tip: When searching with the table filter, you can use the
Catalog Name field to find records imported either from the knowledge
base or from discovery tool databases. The knowledge base records all default to IBM SwKBT. The recordAsset Discovery
for z/OS®s all default to Asset Discovery for z/OS. Other discovery tool records all default to
Third-party.
