Configuration management roles

The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) defines several roles relevant to configuration management.

The following roles are defined for configuration management. If you enable the installation process to perform automatic configuration, it will create these roles as security groups. Each role will have its own start center and application access.
Configuration manager
Primarily responsible for the definition and the quality of the configuration management process
Configuration librarian
Custodian of configuration item information
Configuration auditor
Responsible for running configuration audits

You might want to use these roles as they are defined, or you might want to combine or omit some of them. You can establish a set of roles and security groups that meet your needs.
