Configuring Self serve

This topic describes the details for Self Serve configuration.

Self Serve is a browser-based interface of Maximo IT streamlined for service management. Once Maximo IT is installed and ready, you must configure Object structures for the Self Serve app.

Note: This is a one time configuration setting and will work for future releases. No further settings need to be done by the user.

Include STATUS field in Object structure

The status field must be included for the cduisrmsolution object structure. Follow the steps below to make the changes:

  1. Log in to Manage or Maximo IT.
  2. Open the Object Structure application (Open Menu > System Configuration > Migration > Object Structure).
  3. In the Object Structure field, search for cduisrmsolution and open this property.
  4. Go to More Actions and select the Exclude/Include Fields option.
  5. In the Persistent Fields tab, search for STATUS in Field.
  6. Turn off the Exclude toggle. This will include the STATUS field for the object.
  7. Click Ok to save your changes.
  8. You can now run the Self Serve application.
