Defining the related configuration records in migration collections

You can enable and define the rules that determine the related configuration records that are added to migration collections by the validation process.

About this task

To ensure that the package definitions you create from you migration collections are complete, related configuration records are identified and can be added to the collections by the validation process. The system-defined rules are enabled by default but you can customize or disable them if necessary. The lookup rules identify data such as MAXVARS and system messages.

Procedure

  1. In the Migration Collections application, select the Define Related Data and Lookup Rules action.
  2. Optional: To disable any of the system defined related data rules, clear the Enabled check box.
  3. To define a related data rule, click the Related Data Rules tab, click New Row, and specify the primary object and the related object.
  4. To define a lookup rule, click the Lookup Rules tab, click New Row, and specify the primary object and an SQL WHERE clause.
