My Assets pod
The My Assets pod shows the list of assets for which the logged-in user is a custodian or a user, and allows the user to update information about an asset.
You can click an asset entry in the pod to view more details about the asset or submit a service request to have the details of the asset updated. This allows users to assist in maintaining the accuracy of asset data for their organization, as well as ensuring that when a service request is logged for an asset that it contains the most up-to-date information about the asset.
When you select an asset entry in the My Assets pod, the View Asset dialog displays the asset details and allows you to create a service request for that asset.
When you click the Show All My Assets link in the My Assets pod, the My Assets dialog displays a table of all assets for the logged-in user, with the following columns:
- Asset Number
- Serial Number
- Description
- Status
- Location
- Refresh Date
- Planned Refresh Date
- Primary
- User
- Custodian
To sort the My Assets dialog table, click any column header.
- From the drop-down list in the search field, select one or more columns, and click OK.
- Type a value in the filter field.
- Based on the column and value that are selected, the filter searches for matches and filters the list accordingly.
To view more details about an asset, double-click an entry in the table or select an entry in the table and click Show Details icon.
Clicking the Refresh icon updates the table with the latest information.
If using Internet Explorer, Microsoft Silverlight must be installed on the client machine in order for the My Assets status bar to display.
