Allowing users to have single or multiple carts active at a time

By default users have only one shopping cart active at a time in the Offering Catalog application. The default can be changed either globally or per user to allow multiple shopping carts active at one time.

About this task

The default setting for a user is one shopping cart active at a time. Administrators (users in the MAXADMIN security group) can change this either globally or per user to allow multiple shopping carts active at one time. The default can be changed in either of two ways:

Procedure

  1. To change the system default, set the System Property PMSC_NUMBER_CARTS to "MULTIPLE".
  2. To change the default for a particular user, an Administrator selects a user in the Users application, and from the Service Catalog Options action, sets the Cart Type to "Single Cart" or "Multiple Carts".
