Adding more alphanumeric attributes to an offering

There are 30 pre-defined alphanumeric (ALN) attributes for an offering. However, you can add more using these steps.

1. Go to System Configuration > Platform Configuration > Database Configuration.
2. Place the cursor in the Object field, type either PMSCCRSPEC or PMSCCRSPEC2 depending on your space requirements, and press Enter.
3. To add additional attributes, look to see what the last number is by clicking the Attributes tab, examining the list, and starting to number from there.
   Note: Naming of new attributes must be sequential. For instance, if you wish to add an additional ALN value, look to see what the largest number attached to an attribute named ALNVALUExxx is. If the name is ALNVALUE30, then the next one should be ALNVALUE31. You must add attributes that match the size and description of the existing attributes. To add an ALNVALUE31, you must also add ALNSPEC31, ALNDOMAIN31, ALNDESC31 and a MEASUREUNITA31 using the same properties as the similar attributes.
4. Click Save.
5. Click the Manage Admin Mode action to turn Admin mode on.
6. Click Turn Admin Mode ON.
   The Turn Admin Mode ON dialog box closes.
7. Click the Apply Configuration Changes action.
8. Click the Manage Admin Mode action again.
   The Turn Admin Mode OFF dialog box is displayed.
9. Click Turn Admin Mode OFF.
